With few exceptions, the following Health Insurance Reform (HIR) fence sitters have consistently voted in favor of Wall Street.
Everyone one in the first list voted for Gramm Leach Bliley in 1999: so they helped to create the policies that led to the 2008 economic meltdown. Then after their policies led to the Great Recession, these "fiscal conservatives" voted to bail out Wall Street.
When you speak with them, or their staff. Be polite.
If they are already leaning yes on HIR....then tell them you are glad they are voting with you on it. Tell them something along the lines of:
"I'm sure you are just as disappointed with Wall Street and the big insurance companies as I am. Voting with HIR shows you are willing to give Main Street the same support that you gave to Wall Street with the 1999 Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the 2008 Emergency Economic Stabilization Act."
If they have doubts about HIR for Main Street, then politely ask them to explain why it was more prudent to gave Wall Street the benefit of the doubt, along with trillions of taxpayer's dollars.
Their phone #s all have the (202)-225-xxxx format. So the phone #'s in the table are just the last four digits (xxxx) in their Capitol Hill extension.
